Research and cooperation

Apart from the traditional forms of university activities, the academic staff of the Institute of History also participate in a wide range of projects related to cutting-edge research problems and avenues. Thanks to Polish and foreign funding alike, almost a hundred of such projects have been implemented, many of them involving extensive international cooperation.

This research activity is accompanied by scientific conferences during which our staff exchange information about the newest achievements, findings and observations in their area of study. Also worth mentioning are seminars, which stimulate discussion among specialists in a particular field or historical period, such as the Open Seminar on Socio-Cultural History and the Seminar on the Nineteenth-Century.
